I am not going to do this, I do not want to ruin my camera body and/or lens, but I was just wondering. I have a Nikon D50 and Nikon N65. The D50 came with an 18-55 mm 3.5-5.6 DX lens. All my other lenses I can use on both my cameras, but this one I cannot. I was just wondering.
has anyone ever bought anything from adorama.com or usedcamerabuyer.com? I was looking at lenses trying to find the best site to buy things from. Any help would be appreciated
I'm planning on buy a nikon d90 slr camera and 18-200mm lens from J&R store but am debating where to buy the Repair Master accidental coverage for both the products. Is it worth it?? The camera is 9.99 and the lens is 0.
I just bought a Nikon FM Chrome 35mm camera. It didn't come with a lens. I want to buy a 50mm f/1.7 lens. Does it have to be a Nikon brand or can it be something else?
I recently bought a telephoto lens for my digital DSLR to take better pictures of action shots in sports. I am using a 75-300 mm lens. The problem is that in order to freeze the motion, I need a fast shutter speed, resulting in dark pictures. Can anyone recommend a shutter speed that freezes motion but still gets enough light to have brighter pictures or just another tip to help with my picture-taking? Please help me.
Because I have a bunch of nikon lenses already. Some of them are old school. One is relatively new and works with 35mm slrs and DSLRs.
I'd like to get a new camera (Mainly because I have 0 credit at Best Buy), but the least expensive model that will still take good photos and work with my lenses. And I'd like to spend under 800.00
I plan on buying a Canon EOS 450D and two lenses, a tripod and a camera bag. It's my first SLR so I figured I should get the equipment!
Is it safe to ship an SLR camera? Would there be any damage to the sensor and such?
So far,Amazon and B&H Photo seems like the best picks.
I'm wanting to buy a camera, probably a Nikon D300 and I was wondering what lenses types would work best for Zoom lens, Standard lens, and perhaps a macro lens?
Also what's the difference between Zoom and High power zoom? I'd be using the camera for like taking wildlife and on cruises and such by the way.
If needed the list of lenses that are for Nikons are here

also - can someone give me a good definition about the mm thing? Like what does it mean to say a lens is 70-300 mm and how can you tell what kind of picture that will take? I know it has to do with the subjects focal distance...what do other numbers mean as well like if it says 16mm f/2.8D ? whats the D for?
Honestly a friend posted this question on my account and he has his heart set on the Nikon D300 I have nothing over his decision and he and his wife are wanting about 2-3 lenses soo...yeah
my friend dropped my nikon slr lens while borrowing it, it didnt break so much as just pop apart. the only real problem is the manual/auto focus option switch cable/line got detatched from the inside of the mechanism. im pretty sure the lens could easily be popped back together, i just wouldnt be able to use auto focus anymore. should i take it somewhere to have them re-attach the cable? or will they just tell me i need a new lens?
I just bought a Nikon D40 which I'm very happy with it. I wan't to buy a wide angle and a telephoto lense and see some great deals on lenses on Ebay. I'm a little hesitant to buy them off of Ebay because I'm afraid they will be junk quality.
