I am a very amateur "picture taker". I can't use the word "photographer" because that would be well above my abilities. I currently own a very old digital camera. It is slow, no zoom, no focus and doesn't take any other lenses. A photographer friend suggested one of the best entry level cameras for what I want is a Nikon D40. It is a camera under 0 with a good lens and accepts most 35 mm lenses and filters. It also has a good balance of automatic and manual settings.
My problem is I'm just not ready to spend 0 at this time.
I have seen other cameras, such as the Canon 6 MP that is 0 less, but don't have alot of specs on it.
Is it worth 0 for the Nikon, or can I get a better value and features with another digital camera?
I currently own a 35 mm Cannon Rebel camera and have some fully auto lenses for it. If I replace my 35 mm Cannon wiht the new digital Cannon Rebel, will the lenses from my 35mm Rebel work on the digital Rebel?
As an artist, I use a Polaroid 600 camera to take referance shots. The plastic lens simple camera just barely cuts it. I have a Yashica 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 double lens reflex camera that takes 120 film and a Graflex Nortia that takes the same. The format is almost the same size as Polaroid 600. I also have a couple of Nikon 35 mm's. Is there not an attachment that snaps onto the back, allowing me to take instant, high quality Polaroid 600 photos? Also, anyone know if they make Polaroid 600 film in Black and White?
I was given a Nikon N90s 35 mm camera withe the above lens. I want to upgrade to a digital camera. Will the lens work? Any suggestions. I am a novice.
I'm about to buy a 35mm in a few days and I have no idea how to tell which lens will fit a certain 35 mm camera.
For example, how do I know if a 80mm lens will fit a Argus C-3? Just an example of what I'm trying to explain, hope it helped.
i have looked on eBay amazon and many other website finding a huge variety of choices for camera lenses. I can not figure out what lens is right for my camera i would like a fish-eye lens for my self adjusted Minolta 35 mm. Please help i don't want to spend over 100$ on the wrong product.
The Photography Coordinator at the college I will be attending said that I will need a 35 mm Single Lens Reflex film camera that has a manual metering system. I have no experience with film camera, so answers with good detail will be helpful.
I have a canon rebel g 35 mm camera and was wondering if the zoom lens, etc. would be compatible with a digital camera also? I planned to sell the entire set then realized I may be able to use the zoom, etc. on a new digital camera and therefore should not sell!
anyone know for sure?
I'm looking to get a Nikon D90 digital slr, i've been shooting with a Minolta 5xi 35 mm.
Mainly id like to know if i can interchange my panoramic lense i have for my Minolta with the new Nikon?
I am thinking of upgrading from a 35 mm SLR to a digital SLR. I have really good lenses.(Regular which came with the Pentax , Macro and Zoom I bought , they are Sigma lenses.) I have a pentax camera and Sigma lenses. Which are working fine together.
Would the lenses I have been using fit on any digital SLR camera or do the digital cameras require different lenses. someone kind of told me that every digital camera has a differnt mount for lenses. I am asking here because I need to hear it from another source. Thanks
I have had my 35 mm for a few years and love it just recently tried out the new D-SLR Canon Rebel XTi EOS and loved it. but i was wondering, will the lenses i already have work with this camera? if not, what D-SLR canon will fit them? the lenses are Canon 28-80 mm (came with 35mm) and also Canon zoom lens EF 75-300mm. Thanks.
I've got an older 35 mm Canon EOS SLR. I'm seeing a lot of the 28-135mm zoom lenses on sale that come with the Canon 40D digital cameras. Can I use that lens on my film camera?
I have a Chinon CS SLR 35 mm camera with a 50mm standard lens and a 135 mm telephoto. These lenses screw on the camera body. Most newer cameras have bayonet mounts. Can I adapt the existing lenses to fit a digital SLR camera body?
