Thanks for your knowledge,I really needed the help.I have not been able to devote the time needed yet.But you all are very helpful.THANKS

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi and I already have the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II which I love! But I want to have a wider variety of lenses to choose from and I'm sort of on a budget.

They don't neccesarily have to be made by Canon, as long as they fit on my camera and work nicely.

Thanks in advance for the help!

We have a Canon EOS Rebel G film camera with a couple of Sigma lenses (normal and telephoto). We are looking at a digital SLR. I have seen good reviews for the Canon Digital Rebel xti and the Nikon D80. Will my old lenses work for these digital SLR's or will I have to buy new ones? Any recommendations?

Hi,
Can someone tell me if I can use the following accessories from an old SLR camera on my new Canon Digital Rebel XT?

1. Canon EX, 50mm, 1:1.8, with mounted Kenko 48 Skylight filter and leather case
2. Canon EX, 35mm, 1:3.5, with mounted 48mm Skylight filter and leather case
3. Canon EX, 125mm, 1:3.5 with metal sunshade 125mm, leather case, and mounted Hoya 72.0 S Skylight (1A) filter and case
4. Canon close-up 450, 48mm screw-in, and directions-for-use folder
5. Sunpack GT20, Gold Tube Solid State Electronic Flash Unit

Thanks.

I'm more of a hobby photographer. I like to photograph things around me, like landscape and animals and people in natural settings. I've done my research and the Canon Digital Rebel Xti looks right for me. I'm not completely new to photography, but im new to these SLR cameras and i'm confused about what lens I should buy.

Is there a difference between the "EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens" and the "EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II Lens" ??? I know the only difference in the title is the " II " in the second, but they have the exact same name otherwise and look identical.

Please someone with experience answer, if I buy the wrong one for my Canon Digital Rebel XTi it would be a very expensive mistake lol.

Hello All;
I own a Canon 500mm mirrored telephoto lens I used to use with my Canon 35mm cameras.
Like the rest of the world (it seems), I have been using my DSLR (Canon Digital Rebel XT (350D)) as my main camera.
This lens provided spectacular long-distance shots in the old days of 35mm photography, and I'd like to be able to use it with the digital camera...
Is there any kind of adapter out there to accomplish this?
Manual focus doesn't bother me, as I've done it for years, so that isn't a concern.
I'd also like to know that if such an adapter exists, will I be able to focus the camera at infinity, with it in place?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated...

Peace,
Bobby

i've had my canon digital rebel XT for a little over a year now. it was dropped a few months ago by a careless friend and now the lens is broken. my question is, where can i find a good replacement lens for less than 200 dollars? i'm trying to not spend all my christmas money on it, but i will if i have to. i'm thinking i probably won't get more than 230 bucks.

Hi,
I have been looking to upgrade to a Digital SLR and looking for a good one. I decided to go for Canon Digital Rebel XT/XTi primarily because of 2 reasons:
1. They are cheaper than Nikon with similar features
2. Have friends who have canon lenses, which I can borrow.

Can you give me suggestions on the lenses. I was told that the Nikon lenses are better than the Canon lenses.

Also that Nikon body is more sturdy than Canon.

Any other reasons to stick (or not) to Canon.

Thanks.

I have a canon digital camera with a 4x optical zoom. what kind of lens do i look for to upgrade to higher zoom? I am pretty camera dumb but am getting into pics so want a camera that wont get blurry upon getting far a way pics.
I found telephoto lenses that are 3x does that mean that my new zoom would be 7x since I already have a 4x or does it replace what the camera already has? This is where I am getting confused.

I have a Canon Digital Rebel and currently own the 100mm USM f 2.8 and a 75-300 lens. I may be looking for another. Just curious about what lenses others love.

I am using a Canon Digital SLR camera, but am definitely open to getting a Nikon later on. I already have an expensive Canon lens, but am open to getting a Nikon body, and a few lenses.

My son is in football and I'd like to take some pictures of him on the field, but can't quite catch him when he is so far away. Is there a specific lens in mind that I can use for my canon digital rebel eos?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel Xti 10.1 Mpixel camera with the standard 18-55mm lens. I want to buy a Tiffen lens kit. I thought I should buy a 55mm lens kit; however, I purchased this camera through NewEgg; they try to get you to purchase a lens kit with the camera. The only thing is, they are offering up a 77mm lens kit. So, now I'm confused. What gives?

okay so i have a canon digital camera, and the lens wont open when i turn it on. how can i fix this without taking it into a store?? thanks.

I have a canon digital rebel xt that i received as a Christmas present. I'd like to take professional looking portraits of my baby and family, whats the best lens for this? I'd also like to buy a good lens for landscape photography. Any suggestions?

I have a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XT and have purchased an Olympus Evolt E-300. Is there something I can use to be able to use my Canon lenses on the Olympus? I purchased the body only, so would rather use lenses I have than buy all new, obviously. Thanks!
I have been able to find an adapter that goes the other way -- in other words something that will let me use Olympus lenses on my Canon. Doesn't it follow that there should be one that goes the other way?

I'm looking to invest in a good solid entry level DSLR. I'm not looking to go pro in photography but i would like a camera that I can have fun with and take some good pictures (Sports, landscape, etc) I have looked a lot at the Canon Digital Rebel XTi and the Nikon D40 and they look like solid affordable cameras. But i'm open to any other suggestions on cameras.

On top of this what kind of lenses would I need (this is one field where I have not done too much research and have no idea which to get).

I appreciate any help and thank you!

I currently own a Canon Digital Rebel. It was one of the first models that came out that I bought around the fall of '04.

I am looking at getting a Nikon D90 and am wondering if my zoom lens from my Canon will work with the Nikon??

My dad has old canon lenses from the 70s and I was thinking I'd get him a DSLR, specifically the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I heard that the old lenses do fit the EOS series but I have no idea if that's true or not. Is there anyway I can tell by looking at the lenses themselves? A model number or something?

I'm a VERY amateur photographer, but I love to take pics. I am hoping to upgrade to a Canon Digital Rebel (XSi hopefully, though I may go with an older XTi or XT still) in the near future, but it is the lenses I need help deciding on. If I get go with the XSi, I'd buy the kit that comes with a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. Some shots I'd like to use my camera for are probably some outdoor macro stuff, maybe some wildlife (but probably just at zoos), kids (I'm a nanny for two families), and maybe some landscape shots. something that works well in low light conditions would also be great, as that's a huge problem I have with my current P&S (I basically avoid taking any pics inside because they simply don't turn out). My money is limited, so I'm looking for a balance between quality and price. As I'm not a pro, I don't really need the super high end lenses. Any help would be great Thanks

I have canon digital 300D, can I use FD series lens with my camera ? the one I have in mind is 135mm 2.8 FD lens.

Thanks

i am having Canon EOS 88 camera and a 75-300 non USM canon lens. I am planning to buy canon digital SLR. I wanna know can I use my current lens with new digital SLRs

Does anyone know if my lenses from my SLR Canon Rebel 2000 will fit a Canon Digital SLR?
