Hi,
Can someone tell me if I can use the following accessories from an old SLR camera on my new Canon Digital Rebel XT?

1. Canon EX, 50mm, 1:1.8, with mounted Kenko 48 Skylight filter and leather case
2. Canon EX, 35mm, 1:3.5, with mounted 48mm Skylight filter and leather case
3. Canon EX, 125mm, 1:3.5 with metal sunshade 125mm, leather case, and mounted Hoya 72.0 S Skylight (1A) filter and case
4. Canon close-up 450, 48mm screw-in, and directions-for-use folder
5. Sunpack GT20, Gold Tube Solid State Electronic Flash Unit

Thanks.

Hello All;
I own a Canon 500mm mirrored telephoto lens I used to use with my Canon 35mm cameras.
Like the rest of the world (it seems), I have been using my DSLR (Canon Digital Rebel XT (350D)) as my main camera.
This lens provided spectacular long-distance shots in the old days of 35mm photography, and I'd like to be able to use it with the digital camera...
Is there any kind of adapter out there to accomplish this?
Manual focus doesn't bother me, as I've done it for years, so that isn't a concern.
I'd also like to know that if such an adapter exists, will I be able to focus the camera at infinity, with it in place?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated...

Peace,
Bobby

i've had my canon digital rebel XT for a little over a year now. it was dropped a few months ago by a careless friend and now the lens is broken. my question is, where can i find a good replacement lens for less than 200 dollars? i'm trying to not spend all my christmas money on it, but i will if i have to. i'm thinking i probably won't get more than 230 bucks.

Hi,
I have been looking to upgrade to a Digital SLR and looking for a good one. I decided to go for Canon Digital Rebel XT/XTi primarily because of 2 reasons:
1. They are cheaper than Nikon with similar features
2. Have friends who have canon lenses, which I can borrow.

Can you give me suggestions on the lenses. I was told that the Nikon lenses are better than the Canon lenses.

Also that Nikon body is more sturdy than Canon.

Any other reasons to stick (or not) to Canon.

Thanks.

I have a canon digital rebel xt that i received as a Christmas present. I'd like to take professional looking portraits of my baby and family, whats the best lens for this? I'd also like to buy a good lens for landscape photography. Any suggestions?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT and I was wondering what other kinds of non canon brand lenses can I use with my camera? Currently I use a Canon 50mm 1.8 and the 18-55mm kit lens.

I recently purchased a Canon Digital Rebel XT, EOS 350 D camera. I am a complete beginner at this, so I need a lot of guidance.

We are going to Paris, France in a few weeks, so I need to know what the best lenses would be for shooting pics of the Eiffel tower (from near and far away) and the catacombs, etc.- wide angle and telephoto. Also, I want them to be zoom lenses. The kit lens that came with the camera just doesn't zoom in enough for me.

Also, do you know where I can get them? I live in Germany,so the place would have to ship to an APO address.

Thanks so much!

I am thinking about buying a Canon Digital Rebel XT. The one I am looking at comes with a EF-S 18-55mm lens. I took a photography class in college about 5 years ago but I really am drawing a blank of well, about everything. Besides, all of my work there was in film though this does seem quite a bit similar. From some things I have read, there is a difference between digital mm measurements and regular 35mm print film measurements. Can someone please explain to me what DIGITAL lenses would be good for what kinds of use? And this may be a dumb question but would my Canon Rebel EOS 35mm lenses interchange with this digital Rebel? Gee would be spectacular if it would but I'm guessing no. Thanks for all the help I'm trying to blow the dust off off of my brain.
