Is there a way to take the lens apart and set it at f3.5 or f4 manuallly, then use it on a digital Canon camera? The lens is an older model Sigma APO and won't change stops on the newer digital cameras. Was designed for film cameras.
It will change on a film camera. Can I change the stops on film cam, then put it on my digital??

We're thinking of buying a digital canon rebel body, since we have a few lenses from film rebels, we'd like to know if they are compatable.

I have a Canon S51S. I also have a few lenses that are for my older non digital Canon camera and want to know is there is an adapter to attach my Canon zoom EF 75-300mm (from the older model) to the S515. I have seen adapters on the Canon site but am not sure if that is JUST for the extra lenses that they do for the S51S on the site.
Many thanks

I have a digital Canon Rebel. Was wondering what the difference between the EF Lenses, the EF-S lenses and the "L" series lenses?

More specifically, the Canon EOS Elan II. I have some lenses for my digital Canon EOS, but they don't fit.

can I use the lenses from my canon rebel slr on a digital canon rebel slr. I want to upgrade to a digital but I have 3 lenses I don't want to go to waste

I have found a lot of older lenses for canon mounts in storage. My father was big into photography, there must be 15 lenses in every shape and size. These are atleast ten years old or more. Does anyone know if you can use “analog” lenses with current digital canon cameras?

Is there pro's cons to using them?

Thanks.

If I upgrade to a Digital Canon Rebel, will the lenses interchange? I have several SLR lenses and it would make it cheaper just to buy a Rebel Digital body only

dear friends.
i cannot seem to get a clear understanding about this anywhere..
can you use non-digital canon lenses on a digital canon xti?
how does that work...
and if you feel like suggesting a good wide angle lens it would be much appreciated
a 10-20 or somewhere around that would be awesome! and are non-canon lenses any good?

I have a Canon lens,
and I was wondering if I bought a Digital Canon (both would be EOS Rebels) if I could use the lens with the digital.
thanks!

I have a couple of lenses from my Canon 35mm camera and have now purchased a new digital Canon rebel xti. Can I use the lenses from my old 35mm on a digital rebel xti?
