ok, i am shopping around for a nikon digital SLR camera and i am looking at the D40x.?

should i get the kit with the 18-55mm lens in it, or should i buy the body, and then spend a little extra money on a seperate lens? also, if you have any other suggestions for digital SLRs or websites to shop at, that would be amazing.
