I have been using my mother's Nikon N50 camera for quite some time but now i am in the market for my own camera. My mom has a telephoto lens for her camera so im wondering if i buy a new nikon camera will i still be able to use the telephoto lense for the new camera?

In example, to change over the stock lens to a Telephoto, or Colored lenses.
I'm looking to purchase a new camera and am not sure what to save for, a Camera under 0-0 would be ideal.

Because I have a bunch of nikon lenses already. Some of them are old school. One is relatively new and works with 35mm slrs and DSLRs.

I'd like to get a new camera (Mainly because I have 0 credit at Best Buy), but the least expensive model that will still take good photos and work with my lenses. And I'd like to spend under 800.00

Suggestions??

I need to find out whether Nikon or Canon is better. I already have a Nikon SLR, and and two Nikon lenses, and they work great. I want to buy a new camera, one with better quality. Which one has more features and a better quality? Nikon, or Canon?

Canon AE-1 (SLR) lenses: usable in DSLR? August 17, 2009 | 06:29 am

I found my father's old Canon AE-1 from quite a few years ago, along with a couple of lenses. The lenses are:

FD 28mm 1:2.8
FD 50mm 1:1.4
FD 70-210mm 1:4

I'm wondering if these lenses are usable in any DSLRs, and if it's worth buying a DSLR that is able to use them (I'm about to buy my first DSLR). Are these lenses useful in any way in a new camera?

I just got an olympus evolt 500 slr camera body. What lenses can I use? do they have to be olympus lens? can I use a cheaper off brand for lens? I want some thing cheaper to use while I'm new at this, but I have no idea how to tell if the lens will fit on to my new camera. Is there a List other there that can tell me which lenses style and brand will work with this body? thanks

I recently recieved an vivitar lenses, and canon lenses.. i am new at photography so i dont know the Mm labels on the lenses yet... but i just bought an canon rebel xt, and was wondering if i could use those lenses with my new camera.. i heard something about a adaptor..... can anyone help me with this?? thanks! ciao

I recently got a Digital SLR camera (Canon Rebel XT) and my dad has several good lenses for an older film-based SLR camera. The lenses are different in the fact that the old ones have 3 "blade" type metal pieces at the bottom instead of the relatively flat new lens. Is there something I can get to use the old lenses on my new camera? I really want to use that lens
