Can older film-using photography camera lenses be used on new digital cameras? March 4, 2010 | 06:30 pm

My dad has an older camera that takes film, and it has 30+ lenses (like for tunnel-vision, etc) I'm not sure on the size, but I think he said something in the 30mm range. He doesn't want me using his camera, because I live at my moms house and he doesn't want it over there, plus I want one that's digital so I can upload my pictures onto the computer fast and easy. I'm looking at used photography cameras, but I've seen that lenses are WAY expensive! I'm poor and 13, providing for myself, and I really want to do this, I even have been offered a full scholarship for a photography class at our poetry house starting in a few weeks, to help get me started off. Thing is, I can't afford to start buying things like lenses, so I was hoping that some of my dad's lenses could fit on a new digital camera, if I got the same size camera. Would that work?

Thanks!

Nikon question? Old lenses and new body? February 18, 2010 | 11:17 pm

I may have already asked this question but it went into the wrong catagory maybe. Anyway, I have a bunch of older ai lenses which are very high quality. I'm having to switch to a new digital Nikon. Which body will accept old lenses. Also can I achieve the old crome look easily with a new digital camera? I need to get compressed long lens shots that can blend and look like the magic that is crome film. I hate to change but it's tough to get crome film processed nowadays. What to do? Thankyou. Stay sharp!

Do Canon EOS film lenses work on a new digital Canon 450D camera? July 5, 2009 | 06:29 am

I'm about to buy a new Canon EOS 450D digital camera, and my dad has old EOS film lenses that he is going to give me. Would they work on the new digital camera? and is there anyway to check and see if they do? (e.g. a symbol? etc.) and is there anyway to adapt them to work with digital ones if they do not work?
Thanks,
Do you know were I can check wether they are EF or FD
