Hey, I was looking into buying a lens for my Nikon. I have around 0, maybe 0 to spend. I know this isnt a lot at all, but I know its just enough. Have any suggestions?
I was looking into the Nikon 70-300mm or the Promaster 70-300mm macro. The problem with the promaster is that I cant find any reviews for it. Is it any good.

What UV filter fits the Nikon 28-80 mm SLR zoom lens? November 25, 2009 | 04:47 am

I have a Nikon D50 digital camera and just bought on line a digital accessory kit which includes a 52mm UV filter. This is useless for me, and I thought the filter was going to be a universal size, but it does not fit on the end of the lens. The lens is a 28-80mm, which is the one most commonly bundled with the D50 SLR, so i feel a bit foolish at having bought this.
I have read the answers posted so far and am still a bit confused--I am very new to this. The symbol on the lens for filter size has a 58 after it. The lens is a Nikon AF Nikkor 28-80mm 1:3.3-5.6 G, I had trouble finding this on the B&H site and felt a bit overhwelmed by the Nikonians boards.

What Nikon Film Camera should i buy that will fit my lenses? October 18, 2009 | 10:26 am

im on my own learning photography...so i have a Nikon D50 and 18-55mm VR lens (AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G)
&
55-200mm VR lens (AF-S NIKKOR 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED)

i am looking for a REALLY cheap Nikon Film Camera that will take the same lenses.

I am not in school.
it just came to my senses that i cannot become a photographer if i dont have any film camera experience. i have never used a film SLR camera only point and shoot film camera. so i really dont want a very hard to use film slr... well actually i was thinking of a film camera close to the Nikon N70. i know that its morely a point and shoot but like i said im not in school and i dont have the time and willingness to learn how to shoot with a film SLR. unless id become a pro in the future. its all only for a hobby.

Does any one know what would happen if you were to put a digital only lens on a 35mm SLR? September 30, 2009 | 11:57 pm

I am not going to do this, I do not want to ruin my camera body and/or lens, but I was just wondering. I have a Nikon D50 and Nikon N65. The D50 came with an 18-55 mm 3.5-5.6 DX lens. All my other lenses I can use on both my cameras, but this one I cannot. I was just wondering.

Are the Nikon lenses for regular SLR and digital SLR cameras interchangeable? July 9, 2009 | 06:00 am

I have a Nikon N75 and want to purchase a slr digital camera (Nikon D50). But I'm trying to figure out if it is cheaper to purchase the body only and lens separately or if possible to use the lens I already have (Quantaray Lens compatible with Nikon N75). Do you know if the N75 lenses are compatable with the D50? Or is there a website where I can check?
